Okay, here goes: once I was a delivery man for a beer company and we had to use the service elevator in the back to bring in our wares. Once when I was making a late night (after 10pm) delivery, I got in only to find myself sharing the ride with a well-known petite blonde actress/comedian, who I won’t name because she was watery-eyed and sniffling and clearly higher than a kite. She used to be on Satuday Night Live is all I’ll say. We exchanged glances and I was trying to act like I didn’t know her and she was trying to act like she wasn’t who she was even though it was obvious. She got off at the ground floor and ran through the lobby as fast as she could. Needless to say, I didn’t get an autograph!

    • Well, that’s interesting, Jordan. I have narrowed it down to several possibilities but really have no idea who you saw. Where was this? New York? LA?

Okay here goes, not much but I was in line at a Starbucks and in front of me was Kate Winslet. She didn’t seem like she wanted to talk so I didn’t and besides this was shortly after titanic and I wasn’t the biggest fan of that movie. But she’s done so much since. I especially loved her in the Steve Jobs movie. But on that day she seemed deep in thought about something. She’s taller than I thought. has a beautiful voice. the Brits always sound nice when speaking.

Is shared a cab ride once with Jason Schwartzman. We were both going from the Ritz Carlton in Central NY to the airport (JFK). He was nice and charming and engaged the cab driver in lots of jokes. I wouldn’t even have known it was him except I’d just seen two of his movies recently and his voice is unmistakeable. He asked my name and kept calling me by it the whole time, finally saying, “Good bye Mary, it was nice meeting you.” We were flying the same airline but different drop offs.

i was working in a starbucks once when mila kunis and ashton kutcher came in. they were very pleasant and stayed about ten minutes. a few people discreetly filmed them with their phones but they didn’t mind. the both ordered and left, after leaving a generous tip ($20, I think). they seemed very nice, ordinary people, meet them in the street and you’d never know they were rich.
